Here is another seductive Finest for you to admire! They don't come much prettier than that in my opinion! I mean, just look at that knot, it is absolute perfection!

Does anybody make a knot nowadays that's close to these older Rooney brushes?

Unfortunately not. I really wish they did, as it would give me cause to be excited about purchasing new shaving brushes again.

Unfortunately not. Blonde Badger when it was first introduced was quite close to Finest, but I haven't personally had a brush, or seen one for that matter, that looks close to Finest. Just have to haunt the BSTs, make WTBs, and hope for the best if you want one.

I feel real lucky that I did not get bored and trade my 2008 Rooney 2/1 in finest. Got out of the rad, scad and sbad, for a little while and just enjoyed shaving for a couple of years. Now I'm back in the forums and have all the disorders again except I find out these are hard to come by now. Guess I didn't know how good I have it. Plus I get to experience all the new brush makers out there.

I loved this review and the subsequent posts.  I had thghe change to buy a finest when I visited Vintage Blades, but I didn't have my Amex with me and cold hard cash was hard to part with.

I always wanted to give one a try, though.  I am hoping one will eventually come along!

Thanks to a for posting comments & to Teiste for starting the thread.

They are worth a try , there is a lot of hype but for good reason. I have had a few opportunities over there years to pick them up.
