Being the only Topic on the Forum that's yet to see any love, I thought I would start things off...
Despite predominately face lathering (now) I have accumulated a few scuttles. Although they rarely see much lather they are still an aesthetically pleasing addition to my shaving nook.

In terms of visual appeal the Georgetown is my favourite,

but when considering function, it's the Dirtybird I favour.

I am YET to acquire any vintage scuttles, but I certainly have spent some time on the net debating whether or not to click the "buy now" key!
Anyone else out there similarly afflicted with Scuttle Acquisition Disorder?

My current "scuttle" is a clay bowl that my son made in art class coupled with an oversized cappuccino mug that I "appropriated" from my wife. I fill the clay bowl with hot water and float the mug inside it. It works wonderfully but I've been eyeballing the scuttles from Georgetown Pottery and Dirty Bird Pottery for a while.

Hi Ben74,
Nice scuttles!
For a time I used scuttles or mugs adopted from my kitchen tools, not scuttles in fact:

Then I found this one and I found it really confortable (a big cup of metal from breakfeast):

For a while this made with porcelaine, with a fish style XD
![[Image: IMG_7608.jpg]](http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n539/daigoro1974/IMG_7608.jpg)
And finally a Muhle scuttle:

Bye!

VerbaVolant Wrote:Diego,
Do you remember the cream/soap you have in this picture? It looks great :

Hi VerbaVolant
Of course, this lather was made with "La Toja" the basic cream of La Toja (red tube).
In fact with this brand it's really easy to get a good lather, but actually It`s not my favorite because it`s a bit dry after shaving.
Regards

Dirty Texan Wrote:slantman Wrote:I am waiting for a travel scuttle from Julie at Dirtybird. Maybe another week or two. The G5 from GT is really beautiful.
I'd love to see that! How small did you order it? Is it proportional to a Wee Scot?

I swear I thought I already responded to this thread.
Anyway, I like scuttles so much, I talked my wife into making me one!
