I got a request from a fellow member for a shorty. He likes the way a shorter razor handles and asked if I didn't have anything available. Turned out I had a beautiful Geneva that happened to have a broken tip. He liked the idea as one of his first razors was a Geneva so off we went.
I reshaped the tip, polished the blade and fitted it up with a set of Honey Horn scales.
Here is the result of our project. You can see the relative length next to a round point Geneva.

mycarver, your pictures are much better than the one I posted, they really do the razor justice. This morning's 'Christmas Shave' was with this little gem, and it brought a smile to my face with a two-pass BBS shave. Couldn't be happier, it gives my other razors a run for the money!

MikekiM, you should try straights anyway!! It's a wonderful hobby (read: money pit) that's really changed my life (read: made me poorer.) I've got a starter razor if you're interested in giving it a shot...Biggrin

Hi Mark

Beautiful work on reusing a broken blade and bringing it back to life, and those (honey horn) scales are pure class Clap

Take care, Mike

Shortys can be a lot of fun! I know the owner is loving it. Plus, why let a good razor go to waste?
I really like a Spanish style point and in this case it added a bit to the relative straightness of the look on this razor. The shape of the scale just brought it all home echoing the shape.
Thanks a lot guys.
