What shaving loot did you find under the Christmas tree today?

.... Also, congratulations on being on the 'nice' list this year.

I'm really new to this, so I'm not expecting any gear under the tree.

I am, however, already set on making my own shave soap and giving it as gifts next Christmas. I MUST spread my new-found joy of shaving with others!

Merry Christmas to you.

I must have been an especially good boy. Courtesy of my wife, I had no idea. It's extra special as we had our own little Elizabeth added to our family this year.

Very nice and I'm sure your Elizabeth is a "queen" too. That's great !!!. I have a 2012 Semogue LE on the way that was my Christmas Present.

Congratulations mate - what a cracking present (especially given the added significance it has).

I hope that your Daughter's having a great Xmas as well.

Here's my two presents (one from my wife and one from my mum):

Nothing shave related (I don't really talk about my interest with relatives), but I did receive a nice gift certificate to Amazon. It will probably be used for fragrances.

We have a Christmas rule that no one buys/gives Grandpa and Grandma any gifts. Our house is full of junk now. Depending on their ages, each Grandkid gets an envelope with crisp money inside (Minimum $10.00, maximum $50.00).

The wife and I each purchase one gift for ourselves, maximum $200.00 each.

This year I chose this:

I didn't really get anything shaving related, I got some clothes, a few gift cards (which I think are annoying, why not just give cash?) and a Kindle Paper White.

Congrats on the child Jim!

I got what I asked the wife to get for me, and the item she told me to pick out and buy. An extendable/retractable mirror for shaving. I'm near sighted and don't wear my glasses when I shave. That combination means I need to lean far forward toward the mirror behind the sink. Sometimes the back doesn't do that too easily. This brings the mirror right to my face.

OK, we exchange presents on Christmas eve. So I installed the mirror last night and I was really looking forward to using it for the first time this morning. After my shave and I was wiping off the last traces of soap I saw it fully retracted in it's at rest position. I can be such a moron! We got a good laugh out of it anyway. Old dogs, new tricks.

A couple of bottles of Shave Secret, a new can of Barbasol (Hey I like the stuff), Aqua Velva and a suppposed to be shave ready Gold Dollar 66.

That thing pulled and tugged and I've got a nice ingrown working on my lower jaw for my efforts. I've really got to send it to someone for sharpening.
