Happy Holidays to everyone!

I am from Udaipur, situated in north west part of India. Pretty new to wet shaving. Have been using synthetic off and on. Found out about Boar and Badger recently and have been trying not to get addicted to these beautiful brushes.

Currently, deciding on which one to start with. I would prefer face lathering and would not like much scritch in the brush, Budget is not really an issue. Want to choose from Simpson, Shavemac, M&F, and HL Thater? Spoke to Bernd from Shavemac and he suggested to start with a 23mm knot size in standard silver tip or D01 extra silver tip.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated!

Namaste , Arash !

I will go for a 23 mm knot and 50 mm loft , finest badger "hybrid" shape , if you are looking for a soft tipped brush , with a decent backbone and good flow. And its also cheaper than the silvertip and the D01 silvertip. You can read my impressions of this brush , here.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Teiste, me and my brother are going to try two different brands of brushes. Both of us are new to wet shaving and are wanting to try all the good ones out there.

I am going start with a Shavemac for sure and he has just ordered a M&F from Lee. We might order a couple more after we get these in to see how they fare.

Welcome aboard - good to see folks from across the globe here Biggrin

As an aside, I had the enjoyment of serving alongside a number of Indian soldiers while I was on UN duty in South Sudan... I miss the spicy chicken they sometimes made.

It's great to have you in the Nook.

A custom shavemac & M&F sound great. I hope you don't have to wait too long on the M&F. I hear communication can be very spotty at best but everyone says it's well worth the wait.
