So what is the guy at the end doing with that hand cranking apparatus? Flap sanding the tips or something??

Thanks for sharing the video Teiste. I'm curious about that last scene as well. Could that be why Semogues are soft right out of the box?

That process is called flagging. It is where you rough up the ends of the tips to increase the surface area to make the brush retain more material and to be softer. This process is seen more completely in this video.





Flagging may occur before or after the fibers are placed in the brush depending upon the type of brush being made.

Works for even the hair , and also for "preparing' the tips.Wink

I will leave to Emanuel (or other of the Protuguese speaking members) to translate it , but I understood it very well.My Portuguese is not that bad , Im very glad.

Its actually a 8 episode series , but its been summarized it in 40 seconds video.Man , the crisis in Europe , not too good...
