And these are the ingredients of the precious shaving cream, pretty similar than other german made shaving creams like Speick/florena/Edwin Jagger/Muhle/Anne Marie Borlind, creams that I really like.

I love Irisch Moos cream. I just enjoyed a marvelous lather this morning with my older, mostly used up tube. After reading this post, now I'm going to have to check the ingredients of that old tube against the ingredient list of my new tube that I just received recently, bought as a backup. If they're not identical, then I'm going to make a test lather to see for myself how it compares to the old stuff.

Here's what I've learned today, about the Irisch Moos Cream. A year or more ago, I struck up a friendship with a very kind gentleman living in Germany who is a member of several of these shaving forums. He and his wife were driving around Germany and located several tubes of IM Cream (at my request) at a couple of local pharmacies. I ended up with 2 2.5 ounce tubes made by the former owner of the brand (Muelhens) and 2 3.6 ounce tubes made by the current owner of the brand (Maurer & Wirtz). I'm about 80% finished with one of the M&W tubes, and am puzzled that I'm getting great lather and shaves with it, even though Teiste doesn't speak highly of it. I've got one of the smaller tubes left (gave the other to my son). I know the Muelhens is good (that's my picture of it that Teiste posted with the original thread at SMF). But it's an obsolete product. Luckily for me, when I recently decided to stock up on IM cream, I was able to secure a number of the large M & W tubes from Paul at Connaught. I'm happy with it.

Yes,very true!
By soap, you do mean the stick, right?

Exactly!
I wrote that in March, probably the availability of the Irisch moos soap was not an issue back then... I believe that barbieredifigaro (and perhaps other webshops) were still carrying them at the time.
A couple of years ago, they were available all over the German ebay, and at killer prices (sometimes less than €2 each). Those were the times...
