This was a board members great grandfathers razor which he had sitting around for a while.
The tip was broken and it had a bit of rust on it.
I cut the tip and refashioned another barbers notch to look like the original blade. Little length was lost here.
I polished up the blade without damaging the small etching right along the edge. The Ivory along with the scales cleaned up fine considering the age/wear.

Hi Mark

In my eyes, you really are a true craftsman in the finest sense, the work you constantly produce and share with us mere mortals here is simply staggering and humbling Bow

Take care, Mike

Here are a few examples from my collection. I like this style. I have others, another in French Ivory and another in Mother of Pearl but don't have photos handy. Can get them if you like.

Hi Mark

That there in my eyes is a real beauty, love the clean, curved lines and the scales are so simple, yet so alive with the shimmering two tone pattern...

Take care, Mike

Edit: Fixed grammar.

It's a very nice blade and a great shaver as well. I have a couple other Hessenbruchs' but this is the nicest as it has a beveled spine and shows no hone wear.
