Needed a rush shave today. I've always (always) stated the ikon OSS is my go to speed shave razor. It's a nice safe choice as I can get a close shave without injury.

I picked up my Ever Ready 200T with a TGN synthetic as it just needs to get run under hot water for prep. I then grabbed MdC as it takes little work for a great fast lather. Went and grabbed a personna blue lab from my blade boxes. 7hen finallyout of habit I grabbed my Palladium Joris.

Great fast lather from the synthetic / MdC combo, rushing with the Joris / Blue lab combo though gave me a few minor nicks and a good Adam's Apple weeper.

I can't believe I grabbed the wrong razor.

Worst Shave of 2012 I think. Shouldn't happen on Dec 30.

Maybe it would have worked better if you had reached for the iKon instead of the Nikon.Smile

LOL Doug. I'd like to get a head count of those who haven't done the same. I bet there aren't many.

I've learned that if I must rush the shave I either just do a single pass and call it quits or I simply skip shaving that day. much safer than rushing and sheading blood. also mean I don't have to explain what happend all day.Dodgy

I read this thread the other day and at the time I thought I could see it happening to me. I shave rather quickly most of the time. With my Fattip I can shave very rapidly with quite quick and efficient strokes. Everything about it suits my shaving style.

Well this morning while in no hurry at all I was enjoying a wonderful 2 razor shave. I completed the first two passes with my new Bakelite Slant( still getting the hang of this one ) . Then I did my ATG pass with my new Razorock lil Bastone and noticed it to be slightly more aggressive today than yesterday . Then I started buffing a couple of tough areas on my neck and I NICKED my neck ! Hasn't happened to me in 20 years ! Then the head started to swivel ! Yep you guessed it , I am an idiot ! Yesterday when I disassembled it and wiped it clean I didn't screw the Handle down, it was loose the whole time the blades was only brely held in place .

I immediately thought of this threa Smile oh well, live and learn !
