Can anyone tell me what this is my guess is a new with a mismatched handle but im not sure? Is it a New longcomb or shortcomb? Thanks it does say made in england

The top plate and handle are probably Gillette but I think the bottom plate is a British STAR...never seen an open comb but the holes look similar...seems to be mismatchedHuh

My Star has that bottom plate but, I will have to look at it when I get home to be sure. But, it does look like a mis-match.

better photos of the comb might help, especially a few like these:

on the left is a short comb NEW and on the right is a long comb NEW.

It's a British Service Set NEW head (they came in a variety of styles), that has been coupled with a Tech Handled NEW handle or a Thin Handled Tech Handle (both handles are similar in design with the Tech Handled NEW handle being slightly longer.

If you could let me know the length of the handle then I'll confirm which one it is.
