That makes 4 in 2012--Erasmic, Palmolive, Speick, Arko. Only 12 more sticks of Arko to go. Biggrin

I'm going to take a break for a few weeks and work on my small tube of KMF lavender. I'll continue to use one of my triple milled soaps (PdP and TOBS) on the weekends when I need a change, but sticking to one product seems to work well for me and I want to work through some of that huge Amazon order (what was I thinking?) of Arko before I start buying more stuff.

I have respect for you guys who can stick to one product at a time. I can't seem to restrict myself that way.

BTW ... did you have a fave out of all those sticks you've finished in 2012?

Speick, Arko, Palmolive, in that order but all are good performers for me. Erasmic worked, but I wouldn't re-order. I don't plan to re-order Arko either, but only because I have a lifetime supply...

My favorite stick is Speick but you should also give the VALOBRA stick a try. Very nice and it's my second favorite stick.

We have some Arko loyalist on here, so if you're overstocked put some up on the B/S/T.

I need to stick to one product at a time and use up some of my lifetime supply but, at the moment I am having too much fun stocking my shelves.

I went to a Christmas Craft Show at "The Farm" and picked up 3 Pucks of Artisan Shaving Soap and from a Gift Shop I got a Puck of Evelyn & Crabtree.

Then, for Christmas I got a couple of Pucks of Colonel Conk's.

Have you tried La Toja ?

I truly like Erasmic stick , even more than the Palmolive one.

+1 for La Toja.

What I've seen most people do when they get that order of 12 Arko sticks and wonder "what am I going to do with all this Arko Huh" is either PIF, or including them with their sales on BST.

I want to try La Toja, but not until I work through some more of my stock. Anybody want to trade for a couple of unused sticks of Arko??Smile
The funny thing about trying to sell Arko is the postage is more than the product is worth. I like it though so I really don't mind and eventually it will all get used up.

I do regret buying so much because now that I have it, I feel compelled to use it up before buying (trying) new soaps or creams. I already feel like a terrible hoarder so I can't bring myself to keep getting new stuff. That's why I'm so happy to have finished off--actually used, not wasted--these 4 sticks this year.

You know, someone should talk Proraso in to making sticks. Now that would be good.

Especially if it's tallow Proraso. I can't believe how much just the thought of this got me excited.

If shave sticks get you excited, may I suggest a shot of Jim Beam or Jack Daniel's.Biggrin

La Toja, oh yes! Valobra? Wonderful scent; it reminds me a little of Chandrinka Indian soap, the green stuff. I love it. Valobra is a little more complex and subtle, though. I sometimes just take it out of the den to sniff it (yeah, I'm a weirdo) I have a source of Fijian Mennen (Palmolive) tallow-based, too; and FAR better than the Australian 'trough lolly' Palmolive. The Euro Palmolive is very good though. I also love the Erasmic tallow stick; kinda tobaccoey or something Smile Speick is hard to beat. I also use the blue Wilkinson Sword, but it has a baby soapy odd smell, also tallow-based, but lathers up a storm, and doesn't dry out as much as some. Never used Arko.
