I've always wanted to try a good quality boar hair brush so. I purchased the Semogue 1305 from vintage scent not realizing that I would have to wait almost two weeks I was very excited to try it out. Well today it arrived and I got to check it out before I had to go shopping. The dimensions are

Overall height: 110mm
Handle height: 53mm
Bristle Loft: 55mm
Knot diameter: 22mm

Performance!!
Being this is my first boar ever I almost was like a dog with a bone I didn't know what to do with it. So first thing is I let it soak in water for about five minutes while I did my prep. It doesn't hold very much water of course it's not broken in so maybe after a couple weeks of uses it should be better. I tried using tobs sandlwood and I feel like I didn't load up the brush all the way. Maybe I should have taken alittile longer loading it up anyway I got ready for my first pass and it puts on a decent lather nothing like my badgers though. The next pass I tried a soap and I used mwf and I spent alittle. Ore time loading it up and man that boar exploded with lather on my face it's incredible maybe it will be my soap brush and my badger can be my cream brush.

Conclusion!!!!
The semogue 1605 is a well made great looking rush I can't wait to break it in to see what it's really made of. I would recommend this product to a new or a more experienced veteran. Thanks for taking the time to read my review

The Semogue 1305 is the reason that many of us decided to jump up the boars wagon and developed love for those kind of brushes. It was my second boar brush , after a Semogue 2000 , and I truly have liked it since then. Its a brush who will make the delights of both , face and bowl latherers , and make an "easy transition" from badger hair brushes to boar ones , since the 1305 behaves very close to some of the good quality badger hairs , but with the "feeling" of a boar hair.

Thanks for sharing your impressions of this brush , Tyler.

I don't have a 1305, but I strongly suspect that after it breaks in you might want to write another review. If you like it now you should like it a LOT MORE after break in.

I love reading reviews where someone finds something new (to them) that they really like. Kudus! Thumbup

Very true : this brush is great after a week of use , but if you give it another week more , its simply one of the best boar brushes on the market , hands down.
