Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

My mini review...
(As I'm sure it's probably been raved about already!)

Packaging:
The plastic bottles are perfect, the hip flask is truly inspired!
Despite the product not actually containing rum,
the association to the packaging speaks volumes in terms of the thought and quality invested in making this product.

Performance:
Therapeutic and effective!
It moisturises without the "tacky" feeling associated with many balms.
I prefer alcohol based splashes and don't usually use balms by virtue of the fact that they leave my face feeling sticky and heavy.
KFBR soothes irritation and freshens my face leaving it feeling invigorated.
It feels like a splash, but works like a balm!

Perfume:
I love the spicy scent.
My nose is not as tuned as my palate, but I know what I like!
It's robust taken straight from the bottle, but softens on the skin.
Cloves are not overpowering (which is great IMO as I'm not their biggest fan),
but most importantly SWMBO approves and this is no mean feat!

Price:
Great value IMO as a little goes a long way!
I'll be buying more.
The flask pack with 2 bottles makes the perfect gift.

It's the only one that has skin care that works better than balm for me. I always picture Brian cooking it while doing some voodoo magic to make it work Biggrin

That's fine as long as you don't mention what it is that he's wearing as you picture him cooking up the KFBR. Blush

Brian I look lousy in a loincloth, but it sure does make the wife laugh! It's darn cold to wear this time of year too, but I must in order to make the BR and have the bats wings and maiden hair work properly in the cauldron.

Facepalm I can't believe I just wrote that. Blush Yeah, me in a loincloth, why not a tootoo with my Tilley? The mental image is just too terrible. An image of mass disgustion.

Ben, I wish USPS would find a way for me to ship it direct. It would make it much easier. At one time they did it by slow boat, but it got there, but I suppose no one in USPS remembers that.

I enjoyed KFBR again today...

However this time I used it less sparingly... A big generous splash of it!
I wanted to see if the scent would be overpowering... It wasn't!
I wanted to see if there would be any sticky residue left on my face... There wasn't!
Great stuff Brian!

Last summer another member PIF'ed me some of this and I was sceptical that I'd like it. Bay Rum is not a scent I've cared for in the past. After using it for a week, however, I was sold on both the effectiveness of this as a soothing aftershave splash and the qualities as a scent. It smells like thanksgiving to me.

Just before the New Year, that same member sent me the hip flask package as a gift and it is one of the few things I had coveted during my shave purchase sabbatical. Really an innovative packaging concept with a very high cool factor.

I haven't even thought about applying another a/s since acquiring KFBR and I know Brian is working on another, I simply can't wait!
