I've never been much of a shaver. "sensitive skin" prevented me from shaving more than every other day. Shaving was seen as a chore and so it got skipped more than necessary. I was using body soap instead of foam for years.

Several times over the years people have mentioned "mug and brush" as a potential solution. At the start of December for some reason I began wondering about why I've ignored that suggestion. I mean I'm already using soap why not something better?

It was fairly quickly after I started wet shaving that I began to think about switching from my "King of Shaves" cartridge (still the best cartridge system and a sound backup plan for travel currently) to a DE.

Now I'm learning to use my Edwin Jagger 89 and playing around with blades (currently like the Astra and BIC best)

I've gone from shaving at most 10 times a month to only missing 2.

They're not perfect but I'm starting to appreciate (and my wife always has) a smooth face. The wet shaving process turns it into a little moment of me time and that makes all the difference.

Welcome!

I used to only shave 3-4 days a week myself. Now I can't hardly stand it if I miss a day.

Well if you only shaved every other day, have "sensitive skin", looked at Shaving as a chore then, I can understand why you ignored the "mug and brush".

Now that you have started on the journey getting a DE is just one of many steps.

You still need to Map Your Face, work on your technique, and develop your own shaving steps.

But, as you learn more and more hopefully you will begin to Love The Shaving Experience.

So Welcome to TSN and may all your future shaves be fun and enjoyable.
