I stopped last night by the new Salt Lake City's mall, the City Creek, where there is a brand new L'occitane shop.I was surprised when I saw the 40 dollars price for the shaving bowl and the soap wasn't even included on the price! The shaving soap refill is now 12 dollars, which it seems reasonable for a long lasting triple milled shaving soap. The soap used to cost 10 dollars like 4 months ago,and the shaving bowl 28.Now the shaving bowl is not available online : http://usa.loccitane.com/FO/Cade-Shaving...B100H9.htm
I like the shaving bowl (the U.F.O) but I dont think I would pay 40 bucks for it...however I did pay 70 for the Creed Green Irish Tweed soap and the wooden shaving bowl is not even well finished...

ran into the same problem when I stopped at a L'occitane in Kansas City(which I learned wasn't as cool later when I discovered there is a L'occitane in omaha). Was fully prepared to buy the bowl had it been in stock, but the price hike is absurd and wont pick one up now for 40.
Still haven't tried it out yet, need to first find a container for it.

I have been putting other soaps in mine as well. Just this morning I finished of my frankin puck of RazoRock Thirdeye and MdB.

I think if I was going to spring for a fancy bowl, it'd be that Czech and Speake anodized aluminum one...
I do like the Czech and Speake bowl.

Those Grundtal tins are nice Emanuel!
To bad you can't buy them online and I'm 1,000 miles from an ikea store.

I think that was after the Christmas of '09 lol I think it was on sale for $18...
I haven't bought a puck since, its a decent soap but I really would prefer C&E soaps if I were mall shopping; sadly C&E is gone in our malls out here.

For $12 the soap is still a very good deal. Thats a shame the bowl went up to $40. Obscene really. For some reason I can't justify spending that much for a stainless steel bowl. At least the C&S one looks very elegant. I have mine in a high walled tupperware container and it works brilliantly

I'm lucky enough to have a C&E in my area. If you wanted something let me know and I can shoot it your way.
