Today is a beautiful spring day. The first Black Swallowtail was seen this morning from our apartment balcony.

Wow, beautiful butterfly. Arkansas is a beautiful place in the spring. Not bad the rest of the year either.

I mostly grew up in the San Fernando Valley. There was a local butterfly called the Painted Lady. It is nearly extinct from development. Even the magnificant Monarch is threatened by multiple impacts on it's migration.
Gardens targeting our 'fellow traveler's' needs; even a few apartment plants can make a difference!
