My daughter (16) came into the master bedroom yesterday while I was trying out my first open-comb shave in the master bath.

From the bedroom I hear, "are you shaving? It smells like shaving in here." When I peeked out, she had a big smile on her face as she said it.

I haven't gotten her to try a DE, but I did give her a tub of Mama Bear's Lilac & Lavender, and a Frank Shaving finest brush, which she adores. My wife has her own Lady Gillette, but just uses my soap or the teenager's soap, so far.

My son, 9, doesn't want to shave with me, but loves to help me by handing me products or helping me make the lather.

It's really nice to be able to share these little things with the family.

Great post, Songwind, and agreed. I had a great shave with my son in my arm this morning, helping Dad.

My 3yr old son already shows an interest in my shaving gear so I look forward to being able to pass these skills onto him one day.

Thanks for sharing this story Eric. it made me smile. Biggrin

When I am at my wife family's in China, her little sister(huge age gap) always sit and observe me when I am shaving. Full focus like her favourite cartoon. She loves when I try to lather have face. Her laugh is killerSmile

Got the wife some VDH for ladies and she uses one of my brushes. I'm looking for a pink handled brush for her. She's not interested in a DE.....My 9 year old daughter likes to join me and I'll put some lather on her face. She shaves it off with an un-bladed plastic razor I have. (Actually it is hers now)... Happy Shaves !!!

My 7 year old daughter has already picked out her brush and razor - an unused Rooney LE pink candy swirl in Super and a NOS gold Gillette TTO (originally purchased for her mother, who doesn't share any interest in this pursuit).
