You mean it is time to start working on your soap and cream collection so the razors don't feel lonely.

Dave, I could not agree more. That is why I only have 5 Schick (actually only need two), 2 Gillette SS (only need one) and 1 EJ DE87. Oh, forgot the one Feather Popular for travel.
At one time I had over 50 razors and 25-30 brushes. All it did was give my wife a reason for her shoe fetish.

Honestly, I'd be fine with just my two TTO Open Combs, but I just cannot stop.
I have cut way back though. I have a Schick Adjustable, PAL Adjustable, New Long and Short Comb, TTO Senator, TTO Sheraton, Mergress, Old Type, R101, Mariner, Super Adjustable, Vintage Merkur Slant, 1973 SuperSpeed (birth year) and hopefully a 73 Adjustable and Tech soon.
I do need to order some PDP and others from you in the next bit, and I still have my eye on the Special Edition Brushes. I've had to liquidate lots of stuff to pay bills since I didn't have a job for 4 weeks.

or time to undertake some awesome cabinetry to organize them.

Well, I'm far from that point, but I have 17 razors, 6 of which I regularly use when I'm not blade testing. A few of the often unused razors are for special times or for mornings after a night of bad ice cubes.
I realized that other than really special razors that I will make or find room for, I have enough and I stopped. The same with soaps/creams and brushes.
Enough is enough. Now if I find better examples of razors that I have I will upgrade and sell the old, but they had better be significantly nicer for a very reasonable price. It probably won't happen.
The only thing I want more of are blades. I also want some MdC, but that's pretty much it.
I'm also making some of the razors in my care better. I just sent out 2 for replating. Hopefully they'll last another 100 years.

I have cut back to 5 Schick injectors, 2 1912 Gem SE, 2 Gillette New OC, 1 Gillette ball-end old type, and 1 Gillete ball-end Tech DE razor.
2 Rooney badger brushes, 2 Semogue boar brushes, and 4 Omega boar brushes.
5 shaving soaps, and two shaving creams.
Sure doesn't look like I "cut back" much.

That's not the right attitude to have. You just need to be more organized. Buy a larger cabinet and get back out there. Where is that "can do" spitit? Did Tom Hanks "stop" when he ended up on that island talking to a volleyball? NO!
