Today's my day off, but I got up at 6:00 AM so I could blow the driveway. There was a foot and a half of fresh powder at my house - the skiers will love it this weekend. Got the drive blown in time to take my daughter to High School - you would think that they would have declared a snow day, but it snows so much here that the schools rarely close for snow. Got the snow off the Jeep for my other daughter who is a student at the U. of Utah so she could have 4 wheel drive for her commute. Best part - my wife's work DID declare a snow day, so it's just Yvette and me at home on a snowy day. Life is good! Smile

It's the exact opposite here in sunny Perth, Western Australia!
The children and I have been swimming for a few hours everyday this week.

I believe my wife and kids would be most happy to accommodate your request Bert! While the children love the water, they sure would like to experience snow! And many years ago (before children) my wife would ski regularly...

I'll trade you all of the Florida Sun and the rediculous 80+ degree weather we have here for some of that Utah white goodness.

I just finished blowing another 6 inches of snow off the driveway. So, since last night, we've gotten 2 feet of snow.

Keep it in Utah. I don't need or want anymore darn snow. But I know it's coming sooner or later.

20" from this storm for me but no snowblower in my garage. Maybe when this storm is over the TSNSLC contingency should all treat ourselves at that fancy barber in City Creek? Biggrin

Born and raised in Utah and I hate snow and cold weather. I agree with Teiste to heck with this weather. I'll take all the 80 degree weather you can throw at me. It's going to be -1 Sunday night. Facepalm

Sad Woke up this morning and went into the bathroom. No water - frozen pipes. After 2 hours of cutting drywall and heating pipes, I got the water going again, and no broken pipes. So I'm envious of the weather in Perth!

Wow I've never had frozen pipes up here. there have been a couple nights where I've left the water dripping overnight, but that's only been a couple very very cold nights.

I have no frame of reference to your cold weather related woes. Here, it is hot and the only thing cold is the beer! Biggrin
