I'm just curious about the blue links. They seem a bit random as not all of the links of the same kind are blue. Can you clue me in a bit Andrew?

Thanks!

I'm also getting that. I'm using the "Ace Navy" theme, if that helps.

Yes, same theme that I'm using. Thanks for mentioning that Emanuel as I forgot to.

it could possibly be due to the css I added for the injectors page the other day. I also saw them today. I'll have to check it out some more tonight.

I started noticing this a few days ago. I figured out that the blue indicates a thread or username that one has clicked on.

I think this is the problem I've been talking about in the moderation section. I'm still having the issue and I am running our default theme, Luxure.

Notice the difference between the color of the first three threads compared to the last one. Whenever you open a thread or a post it turns this lighter color. Pretty soon you have light and dark color print everywhere. Very hard on the old eyes.

I'm thinking it may very well be a Safari issue. When I open the site on Chrome (both on macs and iOS devices) the links remain black.

Had the same issue on Chrome. Clearing my cache fixed it. For now?

Well, this is the only forum or site that does this. I figure it has something to to with the CSS or other changes Andrew made..

Maybe the WIKI needs to be turned into a STICKY and put in the RAZOR section.

Hi Andrew

I'm experiencing the exact same light "blue" as Johnny has documented above.

Doesn't matter if I'm using the latest (stable builds) versions of Firefox, Google Chrome or IE.

I've not delved deep enough into what is causing the "problem" to be 100% certain here, but so far the following class (defined within the CSS file used for Luxure theme?) seems to be responsible for the light "blue" colour being applied to clicked (visited) links.

Code:
.p-injectors a:link, a:visited
{
color: #217c92;
}

Hope the above helps somewhat...

Take care, Mike

I wonder why it's applying to the forum names when I thought it should only be applying to URLs within a thread, per this css:

Code:
.post_body a:link, .post_body a:visited {

    color: #217c92;

}

note, the code you posted above should be specific to just the injectors page, thus the unique class.

Andrew, the background is white because that is/was the only way I knew how to do this.

been a while since I've used a mac, so maybe this will help in the future when you need to take screenshots.

Command Shift F3 for a full screen shot, Command Shift F4 then select the area with the cursor for selective screen shots.

Hi Andrew

I have an "educated" idea why it's happening. Feel free to call me to discuss my "educated" idea.

Just a suggestion:
  • Rollback the CSS changes you made yesterday, doing so should "fix" the Luxure theme. I know that will still leave the Ace Navy theme blue link "problem".
  • Then try the CSS (fix) I sent you late last night. From my reading on the subject I believe it offers a better (more standard) approach.
Again, feel free to call me, as I believe discussing it might help find the "problem", which in turn will allow you to apply a suitable "fix".

Take care, Mike
