Hi,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am fairly new to DE wet shaving; I started in October of 2012. Prior to that I used cartridge razors though I did learn on a Gillette adjustable TTO when I was a teenager. I became interested again because I got sick of the cost of cartridges. Of course I immediately proceeded to buy a Muehle Silvertip Fibre 21mm brush, a Muehle R89, a Feather AS-D1, an iKon Deluxe OC, an iKon OSS handle, 300 Gillette Silver Blue, 100 Astra SP, 50 Feather blades, Cella soap, Proraso green cream in tube, TOBS Jermyn St in tube, Omega cream in tube, Speick cream in tube. Also Nivea Sensitive AS Balm, Sensitive Face Cream and Sensitive Face Wash. So as of right now I'm not really saving any money. Sad The journey so far has been pricey but I guess I won't need anything now for a while. One positive thing is that at least now I enjoy shaving as opposed to not looking forward to the irritation that those multi bladed contraptions would cause.

I live in Guelph now, but I grew up in Hungary. I have ridden to Leamington a few times with my wife. Stayed at Wheatley Provincial Park. Taken the ferry over to Pelee Island. It's a nice ride along the shore. We hit the waterfront at Turkey Point and then ride along the shore to get there. Haven't been in a little while. Carrying camping gear on a bike is just a bit much. We prefer to stay in motels these days.

* Hee hee. A true southwestern Ontarioan, then. If you have never been to Leamington or Point Pelee Federal Park, then you don't really know southwestern Ontario. Great to hear and you have even been to Point Pelee Island. Now, that is impressive.
Welcome to the site.

Welcome to The Shave Nook and enjoy your stay. Smile

When I lived in Toledo, Ohio a friend and I drove through Point Pelee Federal Park. Unless I am mistaken, it is the southernmost point in Canada and a beautiful area.

* Freddy, you are correct, but some folks in a small town in Kingsville would contest you on that point.
