I know it says balm, however I can't find much info on it. Scent, menthol? moisturizing?

Anyone use this or have any experience with it?

It's available on VintageScent, I've never personally used it but I hear that it's got a semi neutral scent, hell of a menthol kick and does quite good job at moisturizing.

You hear a lot of people mixing it with AS in their hand to get the best of both worlds.

It's a great menthol and glycerin laden, neutral smelling, clear balm that can be used solo but recommended to mix in with AS...I use this stuff practically everyday with my AS and it is fantastic. I don't like or use balms because of their tendencies to leave my face oily but this is quite different. I order mine from Vintage Scent...Good Luck and enjoy 444.

For me, it´s the best Balm that I ever tried. Half pea of 444 in my wet hand, and I can get a baby face even if I had a bad shave.

Same goes for me. The very best balm! Beware with it though..any slight cut and it will BURN! But even so you just feel wow, this is amazing!
At least i do Smile But then again, i'm Portuguese and i love extra-hot piri-piri sauce!

For me, 444 - both balm and alum rock - is one of the most superb and underrated Portuguese products, but it has been around for decades, and let's hope for many more.

You can easily purchase them from many vendors, including Portuguese ones, such as Bruno (VintageScent), Gil (aka Lamina) or myself (ThePortugalOnlineShop) - One thing's for sure, any of us will serve you well Biggrin

I had some never used it and now I cannot find it. Sad

I should have added some to my order for my SOC brush. Oh well. I'll live to shave another day.

Kris,

Italian Barber stocks 444. I am certainly buying some, as I hear the menthol kick is outstanding.

The "444" balm has been around for ages.

Ask any oldtimer here and he probably uses it after shaving.

It's a very fat balm, some gents with not-so-dry or oily skin might find it too "sticky".

It provides a layer of fat balm that heals your skin and protects it.

I find it works best for dry skin. It's menthol kick is a bonus.
