Sorry no pics (cam busted) but yesterday at Rozelle market I bought one of those Gillette blade cases, chrome plated, etc, $5. When I got home I saw it had blades in, also Gillette, three holed variety and I thought hmmm, went and researched and found they dated from 1914. Case probably dated from then too. From what I know, the bulldog handle was introduced around that time too. I suppose now I should buy one.Rolleyes

May not seem a big deal, but I love small surprises like this. Are blades like this rare? Doesn't matter anyway; I like them all the same.

Yes Mark, it can happen, but not frequently enough. The only other decent shaving-related pick up for me there was an unopened 1960s stick of Palmolive. Yes, I use it. Not as nice a scent as the Euro, but heaps better than the trough-lolly variety they sell all over Australia today. I shudder to think what men's shaving lives are like here. I try to hint to people there are better ways, far better, but they look at me as if I am weird for even thinking about shaving. Oh well.
