Hola Hola Brush Amigos Cool

I already own a very nice pottery scuttle, which I use for soaking my brush before the shave and for keeping the lather warm between my passes. But since I'm a face latherer exclusively now, I don't need a big scuttle for that and I also have a problem with the brush sometimes falling into the water while soaking, which for my 5-6 wooden handled and genuine horn brushes is not that great.

So it was about time I got myself a dedicated brush scuttle and why not buy the best of the best - the brush scuttle from Dirty Bird Pottery in the US of A Biggrin

Has anyone any experience with this brush scuttle ?
I got the blue rim on spice, and had $28 on my PayPal account, so felt I paid next to nothing for it, really Tongue

It looks quite good IMHO - hope to get it within a month or so delivered to Denmark from the US, she has to hand made it first.....

I have the 1.0 shave scuttle as I bowl lather. I absolutely love it. I feel Julie makes top quality products and would recommend her without hesitation. She was also a pleasure to deal with and was willing to customize my order.

I used to own one when Julie first offered them and they work very well however, I don't face lather so I sold mine. Fantastic quality from a true artist.

I face lather and I've always though one of these would work perfect for me. I have the 1.0 and it serves the same purpose fine I suppose but the brush scuttle would work better for me.

Claus, I just ordered a custom 1 piece brush scuttle after seeing one somewhere. I asked Julie to make me one just like it. I need to find a pic for you.

EDIT: Got a couple pics. Taken from eyesofgray from B&B.

I ordered the brush scuttle yesterday to match the in-transit 1.5 DB scuttle. Can't wait to try both!

Thanks to SquatZilla, I ordered a one piece brush scuttle in blue just like the one in the two photos posted by SquatZilla - had to pay $5 extra, which is nothing when you look at the quality of the scuttle Smile

I now will get the Aston Martin/Bentley of brush scuttles and yeahhhh for that Biggrin

Claus, I have the first scuttle that you mentioned and do like the two piece. Another scuttle was made by Becker and It is one piece. The DB scuttle is deeper and narrow so that it works perfectly with my longer brushes: Merkur Futur silvertip, Polo 8 two-band, and Emillion. I can also take the lather insert out and hold it while shaving and dip my razor in the hot water in the base. Great scuttles.
