Thanks to Eustaquio ( a member of http://www.foroafeitado.com an master barber in San Sebastian , Spain) for the pics , but the translation is into Spanish , hope you can understand the process.
As we can see in the pics , the process of making Tabula Rasa is 100% artisan.

I was just telling someone at the gym that I thought I needed another hobby to keep me busy. Tongue

Wow, those pictures really illustrate what an artisan product Tabula Rasa is. It looks like the finished product has a bit of air whipped into it, which explains the settling of the cream I have noticed with time. This doesn't affect the shave, by the way, which is simply outstanding.

That settled it for me - I'm going to shave with Tabula Rasa in the AM.

You know you have to like the idea of people whipping up some WSP shaving lather with their WSP brushes. Smile

In Europe, just go to the maker's website: http://www.1001seife.de.
It is a cream, a little harder than usual.

I had organized a small group-buy in the past, for the members of the Portuguese forum... When the package arrived, I had 13 pucks at my home Biggrin I took this photo of the event, before send them out to the owners:

Once you see the work that goes into each little batch the price seems very reasonable.

That's what impressed me. I guess I'm used to more industrial methods that I wouldn't even think some of this stuff is essentially made by hand. I know about the artisans and I understand it but its still reassuring to see visual representation of such labors of love.

Really cool to see how it's done... Wish I could read the captions but the only Spanish I know is jobsite Spanish. Plus the curse words the guys have taught me over the years... Which means I can tell you where to put something. What color to paint it. And where you can shove it...lol As far as reading it..... Not so much....

I've had the good fortune to try Tabula Rasa recently and it is an absolutely outstanding cream IMO.
